Master of Human Rights and Democratisation
Asia Pacific Regional Programme
The Centre for the Study of Human Rights in collaboration with The Faculty of Arts,
University of Sydney, will be introducing Australia’s premier regional degree in
Human Rights and Democratisation in 2010.
The course will provide an opportunity to study at the internationally renowned
University of Sydney and one of the four following universities in the Asia Pacific Region.
- Mahidol University in Thailand
- Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia
- Kathmandu School of Law in Nepal
- University of Colombo Sri Lanka
The Master of Human Rights and Democratisation (Asia Pacific Regional Programme)
is an interdisciplinary intensive one-year postgraduate degree that reflects the
inseparable links between human rights,democracy, peace and development
in the region.
The programme is designed for mid carrier professionals and highly motivated
undergraduates.The degree offers students an unique opportunity to engage
first hand with regional and international human rights issues and to interact with
internationally renowned human rights academics, practitioners and experts.
